Officials said a fire broke out at an airport in South Korea on Tuesday in the back of a passenger aircraft, forcing 176 people to withdraw.

The Transport Ministry said in a statement that the Air Busan aircraft, an Airbus A321, South -East Busan’s Gimhe was ready to fly from the International Airport, Hong Kong, but the fire broke out at around 10:15 pm local time, transport The ministry said in a statement.

A total of 169 passengers and seven flight attendants and employees were emptied to inflatable slides.

The statement did not give any information about the cause of the fire, besides saying that it broke in the back of the aircraft.

The National Fire Agency said that three people were injured during the withdrawal. The fire was completely extinguished by 11:31 pm local time.

South Korea faced the worst aviation disaster on its soil last month when a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800, flying from Thailand to Muun on December 29, crashed and a solid bar I exploded.

The accident killed 179 out of 181 passengers and the crew members on the board.
