Sources said two Myanmar-based rebellious groups merged to create a new body at a meeting held in Aizol, the capital of Mizoram.
Myanmar’s two democracy are rebel group Chinland Council, and Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC).
Sources said that they have been merged to form the Chin National Council. The agreement was signed in the presence of Mizoram Chief Minister Lulduhoma and local leaders.
Sources said the agreement was signed on 27 February.
Sources said that representatives of Chinland Council’s Armed Wing, Chin National Army and ICNCC’s Chin Brotherhood were also present.
Juten suffered significant regional losses after rebel aggressives of 2023, but its air power is important in arresting the advance of opposition forces.
Russia is an important weapon supplier for a separate state. The support of Moscow has become important for Myanmar’s Army, especially for the Air Force-because it fights an array of ethnic minority armed groups and pro-democracy guerrillas on many fronts.
