Jerusalem:
Israel’s prison service confirmed on Saturday that it had released 200 Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal, days before Hamas freed four Israeli hostages.
“After the conclusion of the necessary activities in the prisons and the approval of the political authorities, all terrorists were released from Ofer and Katziyot prisons,” the statement said. A total of 200 prisoners have been released, the statement said.
