4 crore heroin, drug supplier, buyer arrested in Delhi




New Delhi:

An official said on Friday that the Crime Branch has arrested an interstate pharmaceutical supplier and a buyer, seizing a total of 726 grams of heroin worth more than Rs 4 crore in the international market.

Police said in a statement that on the basis of input, a team arrested Lalla Babu, a drug supplier of Dilshad Garden on January 6, 2025. During the raid, 502 grams were recovered from his possession in the possession of heroin.

Further investigation revealed that Lalla Babu worked for Nizamuddin, a leading drug supplier in Bareilly and was responsible for the supply of heroin in Delhi-NCR, stated in the statement.

On January 10, the team tracked the buyer, Vijay from Kalyanpuri, but he managed to escape the arrest after leaving his car, the police said.

A forensic discovery of the vehicle caused a recovery of 99 grams of heroin. Vijay has a history of 47 criminal cases and is a listed “bad character” at Nand Nagari Police Station.

Continuing Crackdown, on 30 January, the team arrested another buyer, Jitesh from Anand Vihar. 125 grams of heroin was recovered in search of his residence in Nand Nagri.
