50.42 lakh men, 44.08 lakh women voted for Delhi assembly elections

According to the Election Commission of India in the Delhi Assembly elections, on Wednesday, 94,51,997 people saw the voter of 94,51,997 people cast their votes.

Among the voters exercising their franchise, there were 50.42 lakh men while 44.08 lakh were women. In addition, 403 third-ling voters participated in the voting process.

The votes will be counted on Saturday.

Many exit polls have predicted victory for the BJP over the ruling AAP, while the Congress has been estimated to make no significant profit from the previous elections. However, two exit polls predicted a win for the AAM Admi Party (AAP), and many showed a close competition between them, which had an edge for the BJP.

In the 2020 elections, Delhi recorded a voting of 62.59 percent, while only 56 percent of the voters in the national capital participated in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Voting with 699 candidates with 699 candidates for 70-member assembly was held on February 5 from 7 am to 6 pm in 13,766 stations.

According to ECI data, the north -east district of Delhi recorded the highest turnout at 66.25 percent, while the lowest polling was observed in the southeast district.

In individual assembly constituencies, Mustafabad had the highest number of voters at 69.01 percent, while Mehrauli recorded the lowest 53.02 percent.

Special Summary Amendment, 2025, issued by the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, showed that Delhi has 1,55,24,858 registered voters, out of which 83,49,645 are male, 71,73,952 are females, and 1,261 are third-linga voters.
