Washington:
A judge of the US District Court on Tuesday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s freeze on funding for federal assistance programs, reported by the US media.
“I think the viewer of irreparable disadvantages,” District Judge Lauren Alkhan was said by several US media outlets at an emergency hearing.
Alkhan set another hearing for Monday and blocked the implementation of funding freeze by 5:00 pm (2200 GMT) that day.
