The latest reduction in Q2 brings up the total employee of Wipro to 233,889, which is below 234,391 at the end of the earlier quarter.
It follows the slight increase in employee number during the quarter ended June 2024, breaking the tendency to decline in six consecutive quarters by March 2024.

On the other hand, India’s second largest IT services firm, Infosys reported a net addition of 2,456 employees for the July to September 2024 quarter, as the company’s Q2 income report said. This marks a remarkable change compared to the previous quarter, where the firm experienced a net decline of 1,908 employees.
With this increase, the total headcut of Infosys increased to 317,788, which was above 315,332 at the end of the previous quarter. This is the first time in seven quarters that the company has registered an increase in its total workforce.
