To bridge digital divide, broadband connectivity will be extended to all government secondary schools, ensuring easy access to online learning resources. Additionally, Bharat Bharat Pastak Yojana will introduce Indian language books in digital format for schools and higher education institutions. This initiative is designed to help students understand their subjects better in their native languages, making education more inclusive.
Extending IIT capacity to meet rising demand
India’s major engineering institutes are scheduled for significant expansion. The government will increase capacity in IITs, especially focus on five IITs installed after 2014, which will get new infrastructure to accommodate 6,500 additional students.
In the last decade, the total number of students from 23 IITs from India has doubled by 65,000. FM stated that to support this development, hostels and educational features will be expanded in IIT PATNA to ensure that students have access to better infrastructure.

This center will run the integration of AI-managed equipment in learning, increase the quality of education and improve students results.
10,000 fellowships for tech research in IITs and IISC
Under the PM Research Fellowship Scheme, the government will provide 10,000 fellowships for Tech Research in IITs and IISC over the next five years. This fellowship will further strengthen India’s position as a global center for technological innovation and research.
In response, Sumit Shukla, CEO of scholars merit private. Ltd. commented, “In the last decade, IITs have seen a 100% increase in students’ intake, and the government is committed to further enhancing capacity. Five IITs installed after 2014 will get additional infrastructure, which will get 6,500 more. The student is making space for seats. Extension will strengthen India’s position as a global center for education, producing more engineers, researchers and innovators. “
