Bhavnipatna:
An elderly couple was killed by wild elephants in Kalahandi district of Odisha, police said on Sunday.
He said that the incident took place on Saturday night in Kadomali village of Lakhbahi Panchayat of Bhavnipatna South Forest Division.
Police said Magun Maji (70) and his wife Gada Majhi (65) were sleeping in their hut when wild elephants attacked them, police said.
Jumbos first ruined his hut and then killed the couple.
Police said the bodies were sent for post mortem examinations.
