Smartwatch and smart ring are growing in popularity, as more people start taking their health seriously. While a fitness tracker is not an essential part of a workout, it is useful to keep an eye on your heart rate and other matrix. You can also guess how many calories you are burning, although this number may vary depending on the algorithm you worn by the device you have worn. Gabit Smart Ring is a fitness tracker that claims to offer support for several features from temperature measurement to sleep monitoring.
While smart rings are still quite expensive, it is worth considering that they pack lots of sensors, processors and other important components in very small form factor. You can pick up an entry-level boat smart ring active, priced at Rs. 3,799 or Rs. 38,999 for Samsung Galaxy Ring.
On the other hand, the price of Gabit Smart Ring is Rs. 13,800, and the wearable three color is available in options, smooth and matte finish. The company also ships a size kit with plastic rings before sending the actual device – so that you can choose the right size for your finger. But is it ready to change your smartwatch?
Gabit Smart Ring Design: Good Build Quality

The company sent us a black version of the Gabit Smart Ring for this review, and it has a matte finish like a silver option. The size kit lets you choose from eight sizes between 6 and 13. You will need to leave the trial ring for a few hours so that you know that it is comfortable before choosing the appropriate ring size.

Gabit has done a great job with the quality of his first smart ring. The outer part is made from the titanium, while the internal section is made of a non-allergenic resin that does not cause any discomfort after several hours of use. It is comfortable to wear, does not look too chunky, and it is quite light.

It is also worth noting that some features, such as calorie trackers, require an internet connection when logging entries. There were some occasions when I opened the app without internet access, only to find out that a special page would not be loaded.
The ring is not connected to the phone in the background, which means that if you want to see your workout details in real time, you will need to keep your phone screen. You also need to use the app to start tracking workouts, as it cannot automatically detect workouts. Gabbit’s website says that automatic workout tracking will be rolled out in future, but I was not able to test it for this review.

I tested the Gabit Smart Ring while working in different days in my local gym – these workouts included push, bridge, cardio, HIIT and functional power training. After starting the workout from the fellow app, I will put my phone aside and start working. Once the workout is done, I will open the app and end the session.
Gabit Smart Ring is mostly not found in the way of gym workouts
The ring was not really found in the way of any workout, whether I was using a barbell (deadlift, bicep curl), a machine (chest press, shoulder press), or holding a plate on my head during functional strength training Was done However, any time will leave the scratch on the ring with a rough surface (for better grip). I also tested the SPO2 monitoring feature by comparing one fingers with a finger pulse oximeter, and the scores were almost the same. The device can also measure your heart rate, and reading was usually 5–10bpm higher than the price shown on the Apple Watch SE.
There is also a stress monitor, which will indicate my level of stress during the day, without offering any explanation. The skin temperature sensor did not really show too much variations, but it is not completely unexpected. Keeping in mind that the ring medical-grade is not wearable, and this is no alternative to those devices.
Gabit Smart Ring Battery: Most reliable

Gabit says that its smart ring offers battery life for seven days on the same charge, but I found that the figure is slightly lower when using it to track the workouts regularly. Before I had to put back in the case, I was able to achieve battery life for about five and a half days. It was after wearing the ring throughout the day – except that when I took the shower or washed the dishes.
I had no complaint with the battery life offered by Gabit Smart Ring
While the fellow app shows you the battery level of the smart ring, I want the battery level to fall below a certain amount – such as 15 percent. Unlike fitness trackers and smartwatches, the wearer does not have any kind of indicator, and I finished in the gym on more than one opportunity with less than 10 percent battery at the beginning of my workout.
I have never charged the ring from 0 to 100 at a time, but the company says it should take about two hours for full fee. This seems correct because it added about 50 percent battery life in about an hour.

Gabit Smart Ring is a useful wearable that brings fitness tracking features to a compact form factor, and it does not compromise on the basics. It firmly tracks your activity, sleep, and other health veils, and is easy to understand information through an interface.
