New Delhi:
Delhi today voted to decide who would remain in power for the next five years. The national capital saw a hot competition between the Aam Aadmi Party Banking on its welfare schemes and the opposition BJP claimed that Delhi had not seen any progress in the last 10 years as the AAP came to power.
The exit poll for the 2025 Delhi elections has led the BJP an edge over AAP, which indicates a return to the national capital after 1998 and Arvind Kejriwal’s party has been excluded from power.
Health Warning – Elections that exit often go wrong.
Seven out of ten exit polls have predicted a clear majority for BJP and AAP between 20-25 seats in Delhi. All exit polls have not predicted more than three seats for the Congress.
Seven Exit Poll – Chankaya Strategies, JVC, Pol Diary, P -Mark, People’s Insight, DV Research and People’s Pulse – all hope to win Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP. Mind Brink, Matries and Vapresside have predicted majority for AAP.
AAP has rejected exit poll results. AAP leader Sushil Gupta said, “This is our fourth election, and every time the exit poll has not shown the AAP to form the government in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has worked for the people of Delhi. The man will see the government in favor.
What did the exit poll predict in 2020?
In 2020, the exit poll predicted hat-trick for AAP in Delhi, with about 56 of the 70 assembly seats in AAP. In 2015, AAP won 67 seats and in 2013 in its debut election, the party won 28 out of 70 seats.

Was exit elections correct?
The Aam Aadmi Party got a clear majority in the elections, winning 62 out of 70 seats, and the BJP settled with only 8 seats. The Congress, which was in power in Delhi from 1998 to 2013, scored a zero.
However, it does not indicate that exit elections are always correct. In many elections in the past, exit polls have often gone wrong, failing to reduce the mood of all voters.
