The company has issued a statement clarifying that the number of employees laid over is just more than 300 – and not 400, as stated – and denied the claims that any employee was forced to abolish.
“In Infosys, we have a rigorous recruitment process, where all freshers, after extensive basic training in our Mysuru campus, expects to clean internal assessment.
In the statement, Infosys said that it was decided to let 300-odd trainees go after failing to clean three rounds of internal assessment.
“All freshers find three attempts to clean the evaluation, fails that they will not be able to continue with the organization, as mentioned in their contract. This process has been in existence for more than two decades for more than two decades. And ensures the high quality of talent. “For our customers, the statement has been said.
The number of trainees placed on the ship in October 2024 is about half.
As this happens, the trainees were placed on the ship after a long wait of two-and-a-half years, which inspired customers of IT companies to spend on projects due to a comprehensive economic recession.
However, the company has not yet addressed the allegations of news reports, claiming that the test parameters and syllabus were replaced without informing the trainees. Additionally, the newborn Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) allegedly planned to file a complaint with the Labor and Employment Minister demanding “immediate intervention” in the matter.
