Vivo V50 teasers have emerged online in recent times, showing its design and color options. Major specifications including displays, cameras, operating systems, batteries and charging details have also been confirmed. Vivo has now officially announced the launch date of smartphone in India. Earlier, Leaks indicated on its expected characteristics, suggesting that the device is a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which began in China in November 2024.
Vivo V50 India launch date
Vivo V50 will be launched in India on February 17 at 12 noon, company Confirmed In an X post. Flipkart and Amazon will officially sell phones online with Vivo India e-store. The official teaser has confirmed that the phone will be introduced in Rose Red, Starry Blue and Titanium Gray color options.
The company revealed that Vivo V50 will be equipped with AI-Sam-Samvat Imaging and Editing Features such as AIS 2.0 and Light Portrait 2.0 along with AI-2.0 and Light Portrait 2.0.
Vivo confirmed that Vivo V50 will sports a quad-race display and carry a 6,000mAh battery. The handset is confirmed to support 90W wired fast charging. It is said to have 7.39 mm thin profile. The company claims that it will be the thinnest smartphone in the segment with a 6,000mAh battery. It is said to complete the IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust resistance.
For optics, Vivo V50 is confirmed to obtain a dual rear camera unit. This will include a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultravide shooter with aura light feature. On the other hand, the front camera will sports a 50-megapixel sensor for selfie and video calls.
The Vivo V50 will come with a quad-race display and the ship with Android 15-based Funtouchos 15. The previous leak has suggested that the handset will probably be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. This is expected to be introduced in 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage configuration. It is expected to support 12GB virtual RAM -support.
