The BJP Assembly Party will meet the next Chief Minister of Delhi on Monday afternoon, sources have told NDTV. The Leader of the Legislature Party will be selected after more than a week when the BJP won a major victory in Delhi, excluding Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party.
The delay was due to France and US Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit, who returned to Delhi on Saturday.
Sources said that the observer can be named tonight or tomorrow morning for this process. The MLA’s meeting can be held in the office of Delhi BJP.
The BJP, which is coming to power in the national capital- is planning to convert its new Chief Minister’s oath ceremony into a grand event after 26 years of winning at the Center.
More than 200 MPs and former party MPs, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all NDA -ruled states will be present and al -state leaders and workers will be present.
Sources said that the party has established its eye on the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.
Many names for the top posts are round as the results made the BJP’s victory clear last week.
The son of former BJP Chief Minister Saheb Singh Verma is Parvesh Verma. Other rounds of round include former BJP chief of Delhi and MLA from Malvia Nagar Satish Upadhyay, party leader Vijendra Gupta, newly elected Janakpuri MLA Ashish Sood and Uttam Nagar MLA Pawan Sharma.
Sources indicated that the BJP may also choose a woman to become the next Chief Minister. Four of the new BJP MLAs are women – Neelam Pahalwan, Rekha Gupta, Poonam Sharma and Shikha Roy.
The party won 48 out of 70 seats in Delhi, which was more than 41 more than 2020, and AAP, which won 62 seats that year, which was limited to only 22.
