Livestock grazing affects the insect population in the Himalayas



Domestic grazes are rapidly replacing wild vegetarian people in the ecosystem worldwide, causing hypocritical changes in soil characteristics and vegetative patterns. A long-term study conducted in the Himalayas’ Spity Valley suggests that this replacement can significantly affect the number of arthropods living on the ground like spiders, as well as ticks and mites that can spread vector-related diseases.
