Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan Yojana on Monday (February 24). According to the report of News18, the government will transfer more than 1,400 crores to bank accounts of more than 72 lakh farmers.

What is PM-Kisan?
PM-farmer is a central scheme that provides ₹ 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers. The amount is paid in three equal installments of ₹ 2,000. The government funds the entire plan.
Who is the character?
Farmers with cultivable land may apply in their names. However, some categories are excluded:
- Institutional landlords.
- Government employees (except class IV and multi-tasking staff).
- Professional like doctors, engineers and chartered accountants.
- Income tax payers from final assessment year.
How to check or update PM-Kisan details?
Farmers should verify their details to avoid payment delays:
- Go to PMkisan.gov.in.
- Check the beneficiary status using Aadhaar, bank account or mobile number.
- Update KYC details if necessary.
How to apply for PM-Kisan?
Eligible farmers can apply online:
- Go to PMkisan.gov.in and click on “New Farmers Registration”.
- Enter the base and other necessary details.
- Save and print the application.
- To check the status of the installment, click “Beneficiary Status”, enter the base or bank account details, and choose “Get data”.
