‘Read this e -male immediately,’ CDC asked about 180 fired employees to return to work – CNBC TV18

The country’s top public health agency says that about 180 employees who were employed two weeks ago can return to work.

According to the current and former CDC employees, emails for some centers for the Disease Control and Prevention employees receiving ending notices last month came out on Tuesday.

A message seen by AP was sent along the theme line, “Read this e-mail immediately.” It states that “after further review and consideration,” the end notice of 15 February has been canceled and the employee was approved to return to work on Wednesday. “You should return to duty under your previous work schedule,” said this. “We apologize for any disruption that can be from it.”

According to two federal health officials, around 180 people received the restoration email, which were informed on the tally, but were not authorized to discuss it and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

It is not clear how many restored employees returned to work on Wednesday. And it is also not clear that employees will be spared from extensive job cuts which are soon required in government agencies.

The CDC is the latest federal agency that is trying to return workers soon after rejecting the cost of cuts of President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk as part of Perj. Medical equipment inspections, food security, bird flu reaction, nuclear weapons and similar upset between the employees responsible for national parks have been reversed.

Atlanta -based CDC is accused of protecting Americans from outbreaks and other public health hazards. Before the job cut, the agency had about 13,000 employees.

Last month, the Trump administration officials told the CDC that about 1,300 probationary employees of the agency would be allowed to go. That tally quickly changed, as the number was actually expired notices from 700 to 750.

It is now being told with more than 180 people that they can return, so far the actual number of CDC employees will stand somewhere around 550. But federal health officials have not confirmed any nuances.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior had promised “radical transparency” in the department last month, but HHS officials have not expanded the changes of CDC employees and have not responded to email requests on Tuesday and Wednesday. An agency spokesman, Andrew Nixon, had earlier told AP that the CDC had more full -time employees after the job cut before the Kovid -19 epidemic.

Those who received the restoration email included outbreaks in two fellowship programs-a two-year training that prepares recent graduates to enter the public health workforce through the experience of the field and a laboratory program that brings to doctoral-holding professionals.

American Sen Rafael Warneck celebrated the restoration, but said it is not enough.

Georgia Democrat, Warneck, said in a statement on Wednesday, “Today’s announcement is a welcome relief, but until all CDC employees are restored, our country’s public health and national security will remain at risk.”
