Realme’s P3 Pro, in my first impression, looked like a solid upgrade for its predecessor, P2 Pro. Given the hardware on the offer, it also offered good value and also offered some segment-Agni features such as a quad-curv display and IP69 rating at its price point. However, it is time to check how well they perform new features and whether they make a difference at the overall value of the phone, keeping in mind the competition smartphone. Despite concrete upgrades, some things are all standing out for wrong reasons.
Realme P3 Pro Design: Snazzy Stuff
- Dimensions – 163.51 × 77.34 × 8.29 mm
- Weight – 192 g
- Stability – IP68 + IP69
Realme P3 Pro is available in three finish: Nebula Glow, Galaxy Purple and Saturn Brown. Glow-in-Dark Nebula Shine is the most exciting (yet artificial) finish. However, we received the Galaxy Purple variant with a vegetarian leather rear panel.
Unlike my expectations, this vegetarian leather rear panel should not be felt as premium. It is not mostly softened as vegetarian leather back, but is quite difficult. However, its construction also feels more durable. There is a lot of grip, so there is a small chance that this phone will get out of your hands, even if you are clumsy.
Realme P3 Pro’s vegetarian leather rear panel sounds more durable than premiums
Overall, the design of the P series has changed for better. This is one of some smartphones that offers a vegetarian leather to end under Rs. 25,000. This overall design reminds me of Vivo V50, a mid-range smartphone that I recently reviewed. Although it does not feel as a premium, it has a similar round design with a well round corners and curved sides, which is for its polycarbonate mid-frames that mix almost almost in each other in each other, causing good use of a quad-cure display on the front.
Despite just packing a usable camera, the rear camera module has moved into a circular layout from a squareish design. Even if the phone is quite thick (it seems in this way, also), the camera module is also quite slightly spread, which makes it look chunky. Despite its chunky design, the phone is quite stylish. Its bright colors and unique finishes will definitely attract the youth.
Realme also claims that its phone is tested on MIL-STD 810 standards
The phone also provides IP68 and IP69 security against elements, but keep in mind that the realme warranty policy does not cover damage caused by water entry.
Realme P3 Pro Display: Quad-Curved, but at what cost?
- Performance Size – 6.83 -inch, 2,800 x 1,272 pixels, 1.5K (391 PPI)
- Performance Type – OLED, 60-120Hz
- Performance Protection – Panda Glass
The performance of Realme P3 Pro looks very fast when browsing through its software interface, and it shows a slight saturated color when using its default vivid screen color mode. Given its quad-race nature, there are some disturbing reflections, but when using it out, I also found its shine slightly below the mark. Realme claims the maximum global glow of 1,200 NITs, which is not all bright, as the performance appeared slightly less than the smartphone at this price point.
Strangely, the refresh rate of this display switchs between 60 and 120Hz only
When the material streaming through the OTT apps is indoors, the glow seemed enough. The phone also supports Widavin L1, which means that you can enjoy films in full HD streaming resolution. However, the device lacks HDR support, which is clear that its performance may not be very bright.
Funny, the refresh rate of this display switches between 60 and 120Hz only, so it is not absolutely an adaptive refresh rate. Even if you are watching a movie, the refresh rate of the screen will be closed at 60Hz instead of leaving at a more optimal 30 Hz.
What I loved about this panel was its thin boundaries. The thin border makes the material quite immersive, even if I am looking at the display from which angle.
Realme P3 Pro Software: Blotware Buffet
- Software Edition – Android 15
- Software – Realme UI 6.0
- Software Commitment – 2 Year Software + 3 Year Security Update
When you turn it on, you will immediately notice the phone’s blotware. Realme apps on one side, many third-party apps, games, and “hot apps” are also selected, which open the folders every time (two). And since there is such a wide variety on performance with many double apps (vs Google Files vs. My Files), it may be a bit confused about which apps you should choose, especially if you are the first time smartphone user.
Two years of commitment to software updates seems to be slightly low, given that it is a mid-range smartphone
The interface is usually realme UI with focusing on adaptation. Some practical AI tools (AI author, AI recording summary, and AI answer) work easily and expected. And then the image is editing, something that Oppo has yet to find out before it falls down to Realme UI.
Realme UI Performance: A everyday artist
- Processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S General 3, 2.5GHz, (4Nm)
- RAM – 8/12GB (LPDDR4X)
- Storage – 128/256GB (EMMC 5.1)
Realme UI seems quite smooth when using it, whether it is multitasking between apps or even recalling apps from memory. The only example is when I have noticed a recession when a photo shoot is done using the camera app. Just after you are captured, the phone takes one or two or two seconds to process photos, and so if you have a habit of tapping the photo thumbnail after every shot for the exam closely, you are waiting a little.
The speaker’s performance is not best. Despite packing two speakers, the audio delivery is not balanced and is mainly powered by the bottom-firing speaker. The primary speaker also lacks sufficient bass, even if it is very loud.
The phone demonstrated as expected in our benchmark exam results.

Gaming performance is quite solid. I called Call of Duty: Mobile ran at ‘very high’ graphics and frame rates, and remained stable at 59–60 FPS while playing the game. The touch sampling rate also felt enough, and the phone did not heal too much.
Realme P3 Pro Camera: Average accessories
- Primary Camera – 50 -Megapixel, F/1.8, OIS, Air Force
- Secondary camera (depth) – 2 -megapixel, f/2.4
- Selfie Camera – 16 -Megapixel, F/2.4, FF
Realme P3 Pro has only one user-solid rear-faceing camera
Realme P3 Pro Primary camera samples (tap images to expand)
The primary camera snaps 12-megapixel bin photos. They are slightly saturated in terms of color breeding. The dynamic range is not the best, so the photos look a bit opposite, leaving some expansion in the bright and deep areas of an image. While shooting in low-light or street-lit scenes, I noticed that the camera could not pull out of much detail, which can lead to flattery texture on objects and surfaces. In short, low-light photos are not the best we have seen at this price point.
Realme P3 Pro 1x Photo (Top), 2x Digital Zoom (Bottom) (Tap images to expand)
2x digital zoom can be used when capturing photos in daylight, but even here I saw some guard texture (due to overscreen), which failed to process the camera algorithms correctly. 2x digital zoom is not worth using when shooting in low light.
Portrait mode photographs captured using the same rear camera show to impressive expansion and edge detection when used in daylight, but quality decreases significantly in low light or slow light (tap to expand)
In the daylight (top), selfie looks fine, but they have more contrast to expand and lack pack. The age detection looks slightly soft and is not accurate.
Video recording capabilities of Realme P3 Pro are the best seen at this price point. Overall, the quality of the video is slightly lower than the average, with a limited dynamic range. The shade has limited details, and the overall quality on 1080p is slightly lower. Stabilization is tolerable when recording videos on 1080p 30fps, but it begins to be wobblely wobbleable on 1080p 60fps with some focus hoping. No stabilization is possible at 4K (30 FPS), and the video looks very unstable, both when walking and paning. However, 4K mode expanded the best. In low light, the 1080p video recording appeared soft and lacked details solved with noise. 4K recording appeared best, provided you can see the nauseating camera shake.
Realme P3 Pro Battery: General
- Battery capacity – 6,000mAh
- Wired Charging – 80W
- Charger in the box – yes, 80W
Realme P3 Pro in our standard video loop test lasted for a solid 26 hours and 54 minutes, where a video is played on the loop until the battery goes out. While these numbers seem impressive, OnePlus’s Nord CE4 reviewed last year, when I reviewed an impressive 32 hours and 21 minutes on the same charge.
Realme P3 Pro has a 6,000mAh battery
We also conducted PCMark’s Work Battery Life Test, which simulates basic use, and it lasted 17 hours and 29 minutes with a Wi-Fi-linked phone and set a glow to a certain 50 percent. With daily use, which varies from person to another, I found the battery easily to manage an entire day (24 hours) and something else, which means that this phone will last a little longer than a day, even if you use its camera and play games on it, moreover, in addition to the use of general calls, messaging and social media. While it looks great, I expected it that it would be a long time looking at its high-and-and-general ability.
The charging speed was very good. The phone also supports bypass charging, which produces less heat by directing the motherboard while playing the game. The phone was charged up to 55 percent in 30 minutes with a dead battery, which completes the charge in 1 hour and 6 minutes. It is good for a large battery, but still not as sharp as Nord CE4.
Realme P3 Pro decision
Realme impressed the youth with their design, but it decreased in important areas, such as camera, software support and charging speed. Despite its smooth performance, the software is also loaded with blotware. Surprisingly, for a Realme P2 Pro user, the phone is still a qualified upgrade.
However, compared to the competition, the section-composure features of Realme P3 Pro bring small qualitative differences in the real world. OnePlus Nord CE4 (Review) is a better option for P3 Pro, provided you are cured with its average low-light camera performance. It provides raw power, a delicate balance of battery performance and style. If you are looking for a solid gaming device, Poco F6 (review) should be the correct pick. Nothing Phone 3A that we are currently testing (review soon) is also a better option with our standout design, impressive blotware-free software, good battery life and broad selection of cameras.
