Police said on Sunday that a person was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend when he asked to marry him, the police said on Sunday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Durga Prasad Tiwari said, “Police found a headless body of a woman of a woman near Jagannathpur village on Friday. She was identified as a 26-year-old woman on Saturday, who was living with her parents after marriage.”
Police said the investigation was arrested by her lover and a local motorcycle mechanic, Asif Raza alias Faizan (24).
During interrogation, Faizan confessed that he killed his girlfriend as she kept pressuring her to marry, Tiwari said.
According to the official, the accused saw a Telugu film ‘Salar’ before executing the murder.
He said that Faizan lured him in a canal on 6 March, provoked him with a weapon, and hid the head separately.
The official said, “He was caught running in Nepal on Sunday, in which the police corrected the head, weapons and other evidences. The accused has been sent to jail in judicial custody,” the officer said.
