Ayodhya:
Police said on Sunday that a newly married man died in Ayodhya, who committed suicide after killing his wife hours after his wedding ceremony.
Police said Pradeep married Shivani on Saturday from Saadat Ganj area under the boundary of Ayodhya Cantt Police Station.
After the wedding party returned to the groom’s house on Saturday afternoon, the rituals were performed through the day.
Police said the groom and the groom retired in their room late Saturday night.
Police Karan Nayar said, “When the couple did not respond to the knock repeatedly on Sunday morning, the family members opened the door and found Shivani’s body on the bed, while Pradeep was found hanging from the sealing fan,” Senior Superintendent of Police, “said Raj Karan Nayar.
Since the room was found to be closed from inside, Prima Feshe appears that the groom killed the bride before killing her, the officer said.
“The bodies have been sent for autopsy and an investigation is going on,” he said.
