1password is rolling a new feature that will make it easier to use specific passwords and codes depending on your location. The latest version of 1password for iOS and Android now involves support for adding location information to the item. The app will show the relevant items when a user is in a particular place. Similarly, you can also see the location of specific items on a map. 1password says that the mobile app will check for these details locally, and the location information will never leave the device.

The password manager has the biggest advantage of location-based items, which has the ability to see information without searching. When a user is in a specific location, the 1password app will be stored inside their vault to relevant passwords, code, or relevant documents.
For example, if you add your home space to your Wi-Fi network, 1password will show you that entry on the default screen when opening the app. Similarly, if you go to a clinic or hospital, 1password will show you any health related documents or information.
Another advantage of using new location-specific items feature is that you will not need to remember the name of that entry. This can be useful if you have several hundred entries in the years and forget what are the names of some entries when logging on to a particular app or website.
1password says it will preserve user privacy by storing the item location data on the user’s smartphone. Similarly, the password manager will look at the item locations through only one device, and no location is stored by the information service. The feature is already live, and can edit specific passwords, codes, documents and other entries on 1password to add location data on user service.
