The Trump administration is banning the Chinese AI Chatbot Dipsek from US government equipment over national-security concerns, a person familiar with the case on Friday.
According to The Wall Street Journal, American authorities are concerned about dealing with the user data of Deepsac, which the company says it is stored in the servers located in China, who first reported the news.
The journal said that the administration officials are considering banning the chatbot from the App Store and imposing boundaries on how the US-based cloud service providers can offer the AI ââmodel of Deepsek to their customers, saying that those discussions are still in an early stages.
The low -cost AI model of the Deepsac triggled a large sales in the global equity markets in January, as investors worried that its arrival could threaten the current AI market leaders.
A group of 21 State Attorney Generals on Thursday urged the Congress to urge the government’s equipment to pass a bill by downloading and using the Dipsek Artificial Intelligence software on government equipment.
The White House did not immediately respond to the remarks request.
