Hyderabad:
The students found blades in food served in a hostel at Osmania University in Hyderabad.
The incident reported at the university’s Godavari hostel caused widespread concern among the students. In addition, the students alleged a protest that the previous complaints about the insects and blades found in the food have fallen on the deaf ears.
The students have demanded immediate action from the university officials, including the Vice Chancellor and the Chief Warden.
The students staged a similar protest in front of the Ladies Hostel Complex in Amberpet last year due to the quality of poor food in the hostel. The report claimed that insects were found in food, stating that at least 10 hostel students fell ill and were facing stomach problems. The protesters had said that the problem with hostel food was going on since November 2023.
