“Muslim MLAs will throw out of Bengal Assembly after BJP win”

Kolkata:

Biman Bandyopadhyay, Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, on Tuesday directed the Secretary of the House not to provide any documents related to their action to the BJP MLAs.

Mr. Bandyopadhyay’s instruction came after the official documents of Saffron’s party in the assembly after the official documents, as the speaker turned down his proposal to postpone the House on alleged attacks on temples in various parts of the state and staged a walkout.

The speaker also rejected the proposal of BJP MLAs to introduce bills related to protecting children’s rights.

Shri Bandyopadhyay alleged that BJP MLAs had torn documents of house proceedings in the assembly during the protests earlier.

He said, “Do not give them (BJP MLA) papers (related to assembly proceedings),” he told the Secretary of the House.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari dubbed the decision of Shri Bandyopadhyay’s decision to “rarely in the Indian Constitution”.

“There is no democracy even inside the Legislative Assembly. The opposition is not being heard. The Trinmool Congress government is trying to do everything with the force. The BJP is also against the walkout by the MLAs,” the Walkout is also against it, “Mr. Adhikari said, which was first suspended from the assembly till 18 March.

Mr. Adhikari, along with other BJP MLAs, staged a demonstration outside the state assembly, in which the adjournment motion was not allowed opposing the chairman’s decision.

“In the last four to five days, there have been incidents of vandalism of Hindu temples and idols and attacks in some areas in the Tamlauk constituency. Not a single arrest was made. In Nawada and Ulubaria in the district of Murshidabad, the owners and houses of the Hindu shop were established.

Sri Adikari also claimed that people who celebrated India’s victory in the recently concluded Champions Trophy in Ulubaria were attacked.

“In Ulubaria, people who were celebrating India’s victory in the Champions Trophy were attacked. Ulubaria IC was injured, and when a BJP MLA proposed a stay motion today, he was not allowed to speak. It is illegal. It is illegal. It is illegal. It is a direct effort to chalk the voice of the common people of Bengal,” he said.

The speaker rejected the BJP MLA’s proposal, stating that it was ‘irrelevant’.

Mr. Adhikari also said that the BJP MLA will hold a big protest in front of the assembly on Wednesday.

LOP also alleged that in some parts of the state, the police had asked the people to fulfill Holi at 11 am on March 14, which was Friday, and coincided with the special prayer day of another community, and labeled the state government as “Muslim League 2” and police personnel as “communal”.

“We have never seen such a thing after independence. Additional SP of Birbam district has told people that it is to play spring celebrations in Santikeiketan till 11 am as it falls on Friday, and it is a special day to pray.

He said, “Amdanga is asking the IC people not to drink alcohol. Why can’t you ask your police minister to stop the sale of liquor that day? It is a communal police and communal government … Muslim League 2,” he said.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also the state police minister.

Mr. Adhikari predicted that the Hindu population would “throw them away from power”.

“We will defeat Speaker Biman Banerjee and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. After BJP takes power, we will take his (TMC) party’s Muslim MLAs who will win and come to the assembly, and will take them out of the House in 10 months.”

Senior TMC leader and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim said he would not like to react to Mr. Adikari’s comments.

Hakim said, “I would not like to react to a ‘keora’ (a light disqualified in Bengali). This is not my taste.”

Shaukat Molla, MLA of Canning (East) of TMC, said that if Muslim methods were treated, the way the Mr. Adhikari claimed, they would not remain silent.
