Many children live in hostels across the country. Everyone has a common problem that the food in hostels is not good. There are many videos on social media in which hostel food is complained about. Many times, lizard, rat, cockroach and what not are found in the hostel food. One such video is going viral on social media in which a live rat is seen enjoying swimming in the curry prepared in the hostel kitchen. The matter reportedly pertains to an engineering college in Sultanpur, Hyderabad.
The rat dipped in chutney
There is an engineering college in Sultanpur, Hyderabad named Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. The students of this college were shocked to see the food cooked in the hostel. The students saw that a rat was enjoying swimming in the big pot of curry prepared in the food that was served to them. After this the students made a video of it and shared it on social media. In the viral video, a rat is clearly seen swimming in a big container of curry. It is the result of negligence in cleanliness and not covering the utensils that rat curry was served to the college students. There is tremendous anger among people and students regarding this incident.

Such incidents have happened before also
This is not the first case of insects finding their way into food. Recently, a person from Hyderabad had ordered food online in which dead insects were found. So, when a person from Mumbai ordered veg food from Barbecue Nation in Worli, a dead rat was found in it. Earlier, a case of a severed finger emerging from an ice cream cone had come to light.

The video shared from the X account named @IndianTechGuide has been viewed more than 2 lakh 83 thousand times so far. So the users are expressing their anger regarding the video. One user wrote… In India, eat home-cooked food as much as possible. Another user wrote… Food hygiene in hostels is a major concern. Not that the taste is any good. So another user wrote… You have given some wrong information, this seems to be a video from some hostel in China.
