Bihar News: There was chaos in Kochgaon village of Warisaliganj police station area of Nawada on Thursday when during the Haldi and Mehndi program in a wedding ceremony house, the decorated brick wall on the ceiling suddenly collapsed. Many women, girls and youth got injured due to this. After getting information about the incident, the people of the village hurriedly admitted the injured to a private nursing home in Warisaliganj for treatment. While a seriously injured girl was taken to VIMS Pawapuri.
The wedding procession was to come to the village the next day.
It is being told that the wedding procession of Uday Singh’s daughter was going to arrive in the village on Friday. For which vigorous preparations were going on at home. Meanwhile, on Thursday afternoon, most of the women and girls in the courtyard of the house were busy in mixing turmeric and henna. Then suddenly a wall-like brick was placed on the roof balcony to which a tarpaulin was tied. Fell on the women doing the program. As soon as the wall fell, instead of Shehnai, the noise of people’s screams started echoing in the house.
A huge crowd of villagers gathered at the spot
As soon as the information spread, crowds of people started gathering at the spot. Meanwhile it was raining. Despite this, most of the injured were brought to a private clinic in Warisaliganj for treatment. While one or two were sent to PHC. It was told that about 12 people were injured. In which six women suffered serious injuries. Similarly, one was admitted to VIMS Pawapuri in critical condition.
