Meerut News: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has suffered a big shock in Meerut. Mohammad Anas, who contested the Meerut Mayor election from AIMIM, has resigned from the party. After his resignation, big discussions are going on in the political circles. AIMIM had not fielded a candidate this time in the Lok Sabha elections and there was infighting in the party regarding this issue.
Mohammad Anas, who contested Meerut mayor election from AIMIM, shared the information of resignation from AIMIM on his social media account X. After this the phones started ringing asking why a strong leader like Mohammad Anas left the party. Why was such a big decision taken suddenly? Some people had also come to meet Mohammad Anas, but Mohammad Anas clearly said that if he left the party, he left it.
Anas surprised everyone in the mayor elections
Mohammad Anas had surprised everyone in the mayoral elections held last year. AIMIM had fielded Mohammad Anas in the elections. No one believed that the kite would fly so high in the sky, but it happened. Harikant Ahluwalia from BJP won the election, but in an important seat like Meerut, AIMIM stood second, Mohammad Anas got about one lakh 28 thousand 547 votes in the mayor election. These votes surprised everyone. It was discussed in the entire country.
The party had moved ahead by defeating SP
Two most shocking things came to light in the mayor election of Meerut. One is that SP had fielded MLA Atul Pradhan’s wife Seema Pradhan for the Meerut mayor seat, but Seema Pradhan stood third and Mohammad Anas stood second. The second surprising thing was that the mayor’s seat on which Sunita Verma had won from BSP was not only lost to BSP but BSP candidate Hashmat Malik reached the fourth position.
What did Mohammad Anas say?
This time AIMIM did not field its candidate from Meerut seat in the Lok Sabha elections. A section of the party was very angry about this. Since then, discussions were going on that some people may resign from the party. When Mohammad Anas was talked to about resigning from AIMIM, he said that the party leadership of Meerut was supporting a particular party. Complaint about this was also made to the state president and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. But no action was taken and no response was received. Frustrated with this, he left the party.
