The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh decided to withdraw the free electricity scheme that benefits all income tax payers in the cabinet meeting on Friday. However, the 125 units free electricity subsidy to domestic consumers will continue for all other categories including BPL and IRDP households.
The decision in this regard was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu.
