New Delhi. BYD has launched two more trims – Dynamic and Premium – for its Atto 3 electric SUV, which were earlier available only in its fully loaded Superior version. The price of Dynamic trim is Rs 24.99 lakh, but the company has not yet revealed the prices of other trims. Let us tell you that the price of Atto 3 was earlier Rs 33.99 lakh. The special thing is that the new base trim has smaller battery and less features, due to which its price is even more competitive.
The biggest change in the new Dynamic trim has been made mechanically. It has a new battery of 49.92kWh, whose ARAI range is 468 km. The Premium and Superior trims get a larger 60.48kWh battery, which was originally offered in the Atto 3, with an ARAI range of 521 km. All three trims have a single rear-axle electric motor, which gives 204hp and 310Nm torque.
The battery pack of Atto 3 can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes through DC fast charger. When using an AC charger, small batteries take 8 hours to fully charge and large batteries take about 10 hours. The company is providing a 7kW home charger and a 3kW portable charging box.

Features of BYD Atto 3
The new entry-level trims naturally lack some features available on the top-spec Superior trim. The ADAS suite and adaptive LED headlights have been removed in the mid-spec Premium trim. The base Dynamic trim lacks powered tailgate, 8-speaker sound system, multi-color ambient lighting. The Dynamic trim also gets smaller 17-inch wheels. BYD has also introduced a new Cosmos Black color shade for the all-electric SUV.
All trims come with features like 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 5-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control and powered front seats. Safety features include 360 degree camera, 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program and TPMS.
Till now, the Atto 3 had no direct competitors, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 had a more premium positioning and the MG ZS EV was more affordable. But now, the entry-level variant of the Atto 3 is better placed to rival the ZS EV, with a 50.3kWh battery pack, a claimed range of 461km and an ex-showroom price of Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.44 lakh. It is the middle. Atto 3 will also face competition from upcoming EVs like Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom prices.
