An Air Force pilot died after a Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat on Wednesday during a night mission. Other pilots are receiving treatment at the hospital. The Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a statement, “The pilots faced a technical fault and started rejection, avoiding damage to the airspace and local population.”
Sharing the news of his pilot’s death, IAF wrote: “IAF regrets the loss of life deeply and stands firmly with the bereaved family. A court is ordered to find out the cause of the accident.”

A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat. While one pilot was fired before the accident, the other was missing.
A video from the spot in Suvarda village, 12 km from Jamnagar City, showed that a ground on the fire with the crashed aircraft and its tail cockpit appeared – which could be seen lying in various areas – also burning.
IAF officials said that Twin-seater Jaguar was on a regular training sorti.
Jaguar is a twin-engine fighter bomber, which has single and twin-seat variants, which is very widely used in IAF. The first was included in the late 70s, it has been upgraded heavily over the years.
