Airtel has introduced two new international roaming schemes for users in India that provide voice calls and data in 189 countries. They are available with validity options of 10 and 30 days. Foreign travelers on Airtel postpaid connections can enjoy one of the newly released schemes as well as in-flight benefits. Both new offerings are asked to increase support for unlimited data. In a foreign country, the user’s arrival is claimed to be active automatically.
Airtel introduces new international roaming plans with unlimited data

Price of plans Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 3,999, and are valid for 10 days and 30 days respectively. Both schemes are claimed to offer unlimited data.
Both Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 3,999 schemes will allow users to enjoy 100 hours per day, including coming and outgoing calls. The latter pack is expanding the ability to reach in-flight network benefits. These include 100 minutes outgoing calls, 100 free SMS and support for 250MB data. In-flight benefits are valid for 24 hours.
Airtel notes that postpaid user Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 3,999 International roaming schemes will not need to change your SIM card to avail roaming benefits. Once users reach their foreign destination, the benefits are said to be active automatically.
In particular, VI, a competitive telecom operator in the country, recently introduced international roaming packs including prepaid and postpaid schemes for the Gulf region. They are supported in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and are available in the validity options of 20 and 40 days.
