Krishna Janmashtami fast resolution and worship method
On the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, after taking bath in the morning, do puja and resolve to fast. Decorate the tableau by installing the idol or picture of Lord Shri Krishna. After this, worship as per the rituals. In worship, the names of Devaki, Vasudev, Baldev, Nand, Yashoda and Lakshmi ji should be taken respectively. Anoint Lord Shri Krishna with Ganga water and raw milk. Wipe Kanhaiya with a clean cloth and make him wear clothes, bracelets, earrings, crown and garland of flowers. Then swing them in the cradle. Now sing the aarti of the Lord with a ghee lamp. Offer butter and sugar candy and pray for forgiveness.
