Bengaluru:
The BJP has supported its Karnataka leader amid large infiltration in the state unit, reprimanded one rebel and issued a reason notice to the other. As party chief, Vijayendra is insisting on replacement, the BJP’s central leadership has refused to entertain his complaints against him.
In a clear violation of the Discipline Code in the Constitution of the party, the party has noticed your constant sharp and discipline violation, “
The party’s head has been facing a challenge from the fundamentalists since the Lok Sabha elections and all the party groups have gone to Delhi to meet the party high command.
The rebel camp, in which MLA Basanagauda Patil Yatal, BP Harish, former MLA Kumar Bangarappa and former Union Minister GM Siddheshwar also planned to file a complaint against Karnataka state in -charge Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal.
In Delhi, the central leader is upset with the line in the only southern state, where the party has a footprint, refused to meet the rebel group.
The group managed to meet former Chief Minister and BJP MP Basavraj Bomai and asked him to lead. But the reports said that Mr. Bomai had rejected, he said that he would follow the party’s decision regarding leadership.
The senior leadership of the party expressed displeasure against the rebel camp to tarnish the party’s image. The leaders of Delhi have reprimanded former minister and BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi to make a wrong statement to the media, claiming that the group met party chief JP Nadda.
Last week, BJP MLA Suresh Gowda had said that Vijayendra is effectively leading the party and called for action against rebel leaders.
“It is unfair to criticize former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa. If the party leaders themselves make negative statements against him, it will hurt the party workers deeply. Yeddyurappa was playing an important role in bringing the BJP to power in the state. Rebels such as Yatal should address their concerns instead of making public statements.
