Mumbai: Today is the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The mandap that has been prepared for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of businessman Viren Merchant, is fully decorated. To make this wedding, which is going to be held at Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, special, many eminent people from India and abroad will participate. For this grand wedding ceremony, which is going to be held today i.e. on 12th July 2024, they will be married in a pavilion decorated in ‘Indian theme’ at the World Convention Center.
The wedding venue is like the Ghats of KashiâĤ
To show the colors of Indianness to the guests from India and abroad, the entire venue has been painted in the colors of Indianness. Be it the dress code of the guests, the carved flowers and leaves for decoration, the music or the variety of dishes, all are completely Indian. At the venue of the wedding ceremony, the Ghats of Kashi i.e. Banaras have been recreated exactly the same. Guests will be able to enjoy the city’s chaat, kachori and paan at these ghats.
The wedding rituals will be performed amidst the replica of Baba Vishwanath temple and the rich and ancient traditions of Banaras. There will also be musical jugalbandhi along with taste. Local artists and musicians of Kashi will add music to the ears of the guests. Anan’s mother Nita Ambani has an old relationship with Banaras and Banarasi weavers. Recently, Nita Ambani had offered the wedding invitation at the feet of Lord Kashi-Vishwanath.
The event will be celebrated with the music of the master of Hindustani music.
In the Anant-Radhika wedding, the maestros of Hindustani music will introduce the world to the rich musical traditions of India. Guests will also enjoy Sitar, Shehnai, Sarod, Rajasthani folk music, Hindustani classical music and Ghazal. The gathering will be decorated with music ranging from ‘Bhajan to Bollywood’. Famous Indian composers and singers Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Kaushiki Chakraborty, Amit Trivedi, Neeti Mohan and Pritam will perform. Folk singer Mame Khan and ghazal artiste Kavita Seth will also enthrall the audience with their singing. Anil Bhatt, Sumeet Bhatt and Vivek Bhatt will add flavor of Punjabi dialects to the music.
