Angel One warns investors against fake social media groups – CNBC TV18

Angel Forest, a Fintech firm, has issued a warning about fraudulent groups on social media platforms, which misuses its name and replicate its senior officials.

The company has identified unauthorized groups on WhatsApp and Telegram has misused the identity of its senior officials to cheat its name, logo and public.

These fraud groups claim to represent Angel Forest and engage in illegal activities. They provide advice of unauthorized securities, make rejected claims about returns, and work without necessary SEBI registration.

Angel One emphasized that it has nothing to do with such groups, fake applications or unauthorized web links.

In a statement, angel one

Said, “Providing unauthorized investment advice or guaranteeing returns in securities market is strictly prohibited. Investors should use proper hard work and verify the authenticity of any communication claiming to be from our organization. ,

Angel One clarified that it does not add customers to informal groups, requests personal information on messaging platforms, or funds the funds through unauthorized channels.

This urged investors to use only their official platforms and apps, which are available at the authorized app store.

The company encouraged the public to be vigilant and avoid being involved in promising guaranteed returns or attachment to investments through informal means.

Any suspicious activities should be informed to law enforcement agencies. Complaints can be filed at Cybercrime Portal (Cyberrimime.gov.in), Helpline 1930, or local police stations.

Angel One confirmed its commitment to protect investors’ interests and promote safe business practices, urging investors to rely on legitimate sources for all financial decisions.
