Andhra Pradesh State-Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has pegged the annual credit plan for 2024-25 at ₹5.4-lakh crore, marking an increase of 14 per cent over the previous financial year’s outlay.
The priority sector received a major share of the total annual credit scheme of ₹3.75-lakh crore, which included ₹2.64-lakh crore for agricultural activities.
The credit scheme includes ₹32,600 crore for improving agriculture infrastructure, ₹87,000 crore for the MSME sector, ₹11,500 crore for housing and ₹8,000 crore for renewable energy sectors.

Addressing the banks, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who chaired the meeting in Amaravati on Tuesday, appealed to the banks to give top priority to the agriculture sector with a hassle-free loan approval process keeping in mind the loan requirements of tenant farmers. Asked for.
Stressing the need for better coordination between the state government machinery and banks for smooth implementation of the credit scheme, Naidu said he would soon meet with bankers, ministers and agriculture experts to formulate plans for implementation and achieve the desired results.
