Apple recently launched some new equipment including MacBook Air and more with iPhone 16E, M4, iPad Air and more. After the launch of the new products, the cupertino-based tech giants have shifted their focus to carry forward the boundaries of audio technology. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is searching for ways to include small cameras in his future airpods. The brand is likely to introduce this technique on AirPods Pro 4.
Apple planned to add new features to AirPods
In the latest version of his power on the newsletter, Mark Gurman State america It is ‘actively developed’ with Apple inbuilt cameras. This technique is unlikely to join the upcoming AirPods Pro 3, but is said to have been working on it for future generations. Airpods with integrated cameras may be able to provide details about the environment of the wearer, and the data collected can be used in AI features.
Gurman claims that the new version of Airpods Pro will use external cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) to understand the outside world and provide information to the user. “It would essentially be the smart glasses path – but without real glasses”, he said. This will allow users to ask Siri to ask about their surroundings directly through earbuds.
By putting the cameras in its popular airpods, Apple is watching to expand its visual intelligence features into earbuds. The technology started on the iPhone 16 lineup via the camera control button.
According to Gurman, Apple will not unveil this technique by 2027 and it is likely to debut on AirPods Pro 4. Apple is asked to consider introducing new smart glass in the same year.
Report by Gurman Bolts reported the previous claims made by TF Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo said last year that cameras can act as infrared sensors in future airpods. They are asked to offer extended spatial audio experience with Apple Vision Pro and can also enable “in-air gesture control”.
