John Taf, the leader of the Apple Store, India announced a hiring drive at a LinkedIn Post, saying that Apple is looking for “passionate and talented persons” to join its growing retail team in India.
“Apple’s visit to India has been incredible, and we are thrilled to keep growing in these vibrant cities. To make these new stores successful, we are looking for emotional and talented persons to join our team.
“Whether you are experiencing retail or eager to start a new career path, there are opportunities waiting for you. From customer service to store management, your skills can help us create amazing experiences for our community,” Taf wrote.
The company’s official career page currently lists the opening of more than 20 jobs in March, dedicated to retail positions on “various places” across the country. Reports suggest that Apple has planned to recruit 400 persons for these upcoming outlets, expecting each store employment to about 90 staff members.
This development aligns with the announcement of Apple CEO Tim Cook in October 2024 to open four new retail stores in India.
The company inaugurated its first Indian retail shops in 2023, Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Sacket in Delhi. These shops have contributed significantly to Apple’s business in the country, accounting for about 20% of its operations in India.
Apple’s intense attention and more attention has been paid to India, with its recent initiatives, including the launch of the Apple Store app in the Indian App Store, enhances the purchasing experience for local customers.
Additionally, the company has launched the local assembly of iPhone 16E, strengthening its commitment to the Indian market.
