For full financial year 2023-24, CGST authorities highlighted the GST theft of 2.30 lakh crore in 20,582 cases, which led to the recovery and 31,758 crore and 223 arrests. In previous years, the theft was ₹ 1.32 lakh crore in 2022-23 and ₹ 73,238 crore in 2021-22.
