Asaduddin Owaisi warns the center on the Waqf Bill




New Delhi:

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owasi on Monday warned the government against tabling the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, saying that it would create social instability in the country.

Mr. Owasi said that the bill has been rejected by the entire Muslim community.

“I am warning and warning this government – if you currently bring and create a Waqf law, which will be violated by Article 25, 26 and 14, then it is the cause of social instability in this country Will be rejected.

He said, “You want to make India ‘Vikas Bharat’, we want ‘Vikasit Bharat’. You want to take back this country ’80s and early 90s, it will be your responsibility.”

He added, “As a proud Indian Muslim, I will not lose an inch of my mosque … I will not lose an inch of my dargah. I will not allow it. We will not come any more and will not talk a diplomat. Here is the house.

In a letter to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, MPs alleged that their objections were arbitrarily removed without prior information or clarification.

The MPs wrote in his letter on 3 February 2025, “For our despair and surprising surprise, we found that the following objectives and dissatisfaction notes have been removed by the chairman without informing us and without our consent.”
