Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra Teaser Hints At a ‘Makeover’ Ahead of Global Launch

Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will launch globally on 6 February. The handset is expected to have similar features as ROG Phone 9, which was introduced in select markets in November 2024. Recently a company’s teaser reflects the design of the front panel and signals “a makeover.” The upcoming smartphone is asked to arrive as the successor of Zenfone 11 Ultra, which was unveiled in March 2024. It can get a rear camera module designed on the current version.

The poster sheds light on the letter ‘O’ in the phrase “coming soon” with a circular camera sensor. It may suggest that the upcoming handset may get a redesign rear camera module. Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra has appeared with the model number Asusai2501h on the first geekbench. This is expected to achieve a Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC with 16 GB RAM. The phone will run on Android 15 with zenui skin at the top. It is expected to have integrated artificial intelligence (AI) features, which are asked to offer better imaging and editing experiences.

Initial reports have suggested that Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will have the same features as ROG phones 9. It can get a 5,800mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging support as well as a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED LTPO display up to 165hz fresh rate. For optics, it can sport a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
