A study led by scientists of the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Colon has shown that plants’ ability to suppress immune reactions is shared between multiple bacteria that live on the roots of healthy plant. This characteristic stabilizes bacteria communities, known as root microbyota, against disturbances through the immune system of the plant. Paper Nature Plants have been published in the journal.
