Baloch rebels released videos how they blew up train tracks, taken hostage

A rebellious group in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan bombed a part of the railway track and a storm in a train in the hill south-west on Tuesday afternoon shows a video released by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a group behind the growing violence in the province, which is the border of Afghanistan and Iran.

More than 450 passengers were on the board, when the rebels caught the train at the entrance of a tunnel in a remote frontier district, with an unknown number still happening. Pakistan security forces have started the operation “on full-land” to save train passengers.

1 minute 23 seconds of granular footage suggests that passengers were placed on the ground on the ground against the mountain, with the rebels, holding guns, keeping a look at them.

During two days, Pakistani forces have succeeded in freeing 190 hostages from the train that surrounds.

Passengers on Tuesday freed that the hilly areas walk for hours to reach security.

“I could not find the word to explain how we managed to escape. It was terrible,” Muhammad Bilal, who was traveling in the Jaffer Express train with his mother, told the news agency AFP.

The attack was immediately claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army. The rebels have demanded an exchange with security forces for their imprisoned members.

Security forces have been struggling with long rebellion for a long time. Nevertheless, violence has increased in western border areas with Afghanistan from north to south, as the Taliban withdrew power in 2021.

The BLA claims that the natural resources of the region are being exploited by outsiders and have increased the target attacks of Pakistanis from other areas.

The rebels coordinated overnight attacks last year, including controlling a major highway and shooting dead passengers from other ethnic groups, which was amazing to the country.

Punjabi and Sindhi laborers are targeted in regular attacks, as well as security forces and foreign infrastructure projects.
