While posting of his job came under great criticism, Goyal received more than 18,000 applications and successfully recruited some recruitment.
Now in his latest LinkedIn Post, Goyal revealed that Zomato extended 30 ‘extraordinary people’, out of which 18 have already joined Zomato, Blinkit and Group Companies. He specifically mentioned, “They are not paying anything to pay anything to work with them,” he specially mentioned, “he mentioned opposite the previous requirements in his job posting Is.
Goyal also mentioned that four of them worked directly with him, while four others were in the position of Chief of Staff.

He said that the persons admitted included the founder outside the college of start-ups, engineers, operators and even young freshers. Goyal also emphasized his ‘long -term mentality’, which he described as ‘rare’.
While closing, the CEO mentioned that the company was still moving through the recruitment drive, eager to bring more people to join the future.
The post has provoked another wave of reactions with many admired zomato for its unique recruitment approach. Some also shared their own experiences while applying to the company.
In November 2024, Deepinder Goyal shared a hiring post, stating that he was looking for a Chief of Staff “who is hungry, he has a lot of general knowledge, sympathy, and does not have much experience (and Hence no conditioning/luggage).

In addition to the role of a detailed job, he specified that the employee would not get any salary in the first year, but will need to be paid instead 20 lakhs, which will be donated to feed India.
