Patna. There is good news for the candidates who have applied for Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. STET exam in Bihar. Actually, the government has given one more chance to those candidates who have been deprived of filling the STET exam form. Under this decision, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has once again released the date for filling the form for STET.

Talking about the new date, the STET exam form in Bihar will be filled from 20th to 24th December, along with this the board has given the opportunity for improvement in it from 25th to 26th December. This decision has been taken by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore. Actually, Bihar government had given relaxation of 10 years in the age limit for the candidates appearing in STET examination. Under this decision, candidates up to 47 years of age for general category, 50 for backward class and 52 years for SC-ST will be able to appear in the examination.
TET exam was held for the first time in 2011
STET examination was held for the first time in 2011 for the recruitment of teachers in high schools in Bihar. After this decision of the government, the date for filling the form has been issued again. It is known that after the application was given, Patna High Court, while hearing the case, had ordered to increase the maximum age limit in STET exam 2019. After which a relaxation of 10 years was given in the age limit. STET examination is going to be held for vacant seats in high schools in Bihar. BSEB had also taken online applications for STET till 25th September in which around lakh applications were received.
