However, there are many methods which can be adopted to increase the mileage of the vehicle and save fuel. Proper maintenance and regular cleaning of the bike helps in increasing the mileage. In today’s modern era, bike has become everyone’s choice. People do not service their bikes on time, due to which the mileage of the bike reduces and they start facing a lot of problems.

The engine and gearbox of the vehicle need lubrication. For this, vehicle servicing and oil change etc. should be done regularly.

Do not use clutch repeatedly

Do not press the clutch while driving, it is often seen that people ride the bike by pressing half clutch, which definitely affects the mileage. Besides, it also causes damage to the engine. Not only this, if the clutch starts getting tight then get it repaired immediately. Otherwise there are full chances of clutch plates getting damaged.

Local 18 spoke exclusively with the bike mechanic. During this, the mechanic told that after riding the bike for 3000 kilometers, you should get it serviced immediately. If you service, the mileage of the bike does not reduce. Most of the people keep riding the bike and service the bike after two-three months. Due to which the mileage decreases and the petrol consumption in the bike starts increasing. If service is not done on time, the engine of the bike can also get damaged, which will cause huge loss to you.

Do not cover the engine from the front

Often people cover the engine from the front and sides with something thinking that the engine will not get dirty, whereas this is completely wrong. By doing this the engine faces difficulty in cooling down. Because it does not get outside air and the temperature of the engine increases. In such a situation, not only does the engine get damaged but it also increases fuel consumption.
