A team of researchers at the University of Edbo Akademi in Finland made a stunning discovery. They found that Talin -1, a protein, which is mainly known for its role in cell adhesion in the circumference of the cell, may also be located in the cell nucleus, where genetic material remains. Remandable, atomic Talin-1 was shown to affect the expression of the gene that regulates the cell-to-cell connection.
