Pakistan has got the hosting of Champions Trophy this time
Pakistan has got the hosting rights of Champions Trophy 2025. PCB has prepared a draft schedule for this and submitted it to ICC. After this, the cricket boards of all the participating countries are taking opinion on this from ICC. According to PCB, all India’s matches will be held in Lahore. Pakistan has selected three venues for the entire tournament. Apart from Lahore, the names of Rawalpindi and Karachi are also included in this. PCB says that if the Indian team reaches the semi-finals and finals, then its matches can also be held in Lahore only. However, neither the schedule has been officially announced yet nor is it confirmed that the Indian team will go to Pakistan for the matches.
Team India will not go to Pakistan
Meanwhile, it has been learned that BCCI has told ICC that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. BCCI has said that its matches will be held anywhere between Dubai and Sri Lanka. This news has been given by ANI quoting BCCI source. If this is true then Pakistan cricket is sure to get a big blow. At the same time, what decision the ICC takes on this entire matter is also awaited. This may take some time.
Champions Trophy is to be organized from 19 February to 9 March.
The draft schedule has been sent by PCB to ICC. It has been said that the Champions Trophy will start from 19th February and will continue till 9th March. PCB has fixed March 1 as the date for the mega match between India and Pakistan, which is scheduled to be held in Lahore. However, no official statement has been given by BCCI yet.
