China said on Friday that the President Xi Jinping urged the European Union to join hands with Beijing in opposing the “unilateral bullying” from the European Union when the European Union urged the European Union, referring to the massive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.
The new Levi, which will be applicable on Saturday, was announced this week after Trump, increased the tariff to China by 145 percent, and carried forward the ongoing trade war between the world’s two top economies.
“Unusually high -tariff accusations against China violates international trade rules, basic economic laws and general knowledge seriously,” the State Council of State Council of Beijing said in a statement shared by the Finance Ministry.
China also said that it would “ignore” the tariff hike ahead by President Trump as American goods would no longer make an economic understanding for importers. Beijing said that the US should “bear the responsibility” for the global economic “unrest” received by President Trump’s tariff.
A spokesman for the Beijing Ministry of Commerce said that Washington’s levy “(cause) to affect the current world economy, global markets and multilateral trading systems to suffer serious shocks and severe disturbance”.
Beijing also said that President Trump decided to partially freeze tariffs on other countries after “pressure from China”.
The US President on Wednesday announced a 90-day stagnation on all countries except China. He said that he was increasing the tariff on Chinese imports, citing “lack of respect” from Beijing.
A previous round of US tariff came into force on Wednesday, increasing duties on sugar imports by 104 percent.
China then responded to 104 percent of the duties, stating that it would increase its tariff on US imports from 34 percent to 84 percent from Thursday.
US-China Trade War, Xi Jinping on Trump Tariff
Xi Jinping met her Spanish counterpart in Beijing on Friday, Pedro Sanchez and insisted that tariffs are “no winners” in wars.
The state -run news agency Xinhua said that the Chinese President has also warned the European Union that it needs to cooperate with China, so both can ride the growing trade war with Washington.
“China and Europe should fulfill their international responsibilities … and jointly oppose unilateral bullying practices,” he said, “he said,” This will not only “protect the valid rights and interests … but will also protect international impartiality and justice.”
A few days after the US-China trade war increased, President Trump called his Chinese counterpart a “smart man”.
“I think President Xi is a person who knows what really should be.
“And I think he wants to make a deal. I think this is going to happen. We will get a phone call at some point, and everything will be ready,” he said.
“This is a big deal for us, the world and humanity,” said Trump.
