Conclave: Chemistry behind black and white smoke

This week, 133 cardinals have gathered in Vatican to choose a new leader of the Catholic Church. During his ideas, the only sign of his progress is a regular plums of smoke from a freshly installed chimney on the roof of Systine Chapel.
